Well, like the title says. I will be doing a custom mandrel bent exhaust on the truck in the next few weeks. I am still waiting to get the intake made, but am still debating whether to go custom, or get one from a reputable company who makes F150 intakes. I've heard some bad things about going custom and getting everything in the right place, especially with the Mass Air Meter, really makes a big difference. The exhaust, on the other hand, will be based on a system by Magnaflow, and will feature a 18" Magnaflow muffler, 3" in and 2.5" dual out. I haven't decided whether to go straight out the back with the pipes, or sweep them to the side behind the rear wheels. I may go with the latter since I've always preferred that look. Tuning is slated to be ordered by December from VMP Tuning. Did some research and found they were one of the best in terms of tuning the F150s. After all these mods, there really isn't much more to do, without getting into the big bucks. Headers start at around 6 bills and in relation to power gain, aren't worth the cost. There is only one company out there that makes a supcharger for the 4.6L, but I'd be taking a $5,000 hit minus tuning. Since I'm not really looking to make gobs of power, I'll probably stay pretty reasonable when it comes to mods for the truck.

Stay tuned.... 8)

Such as what? Intake kits? Drop-in filter? I have the K&N drop-in replacement filter right now with the plastic cone on the intake cut open. It's a backyard mod that has been done by numerous people, and sort of acts like an intake you'd buy aftermarket.
